New Again

02/10/2026

After a very long break, I think I'm ready to start updating the site again. Plenty of things in my life have changed over the past year ans a half, and im in a much better state then I was when I first started the site. Regardless, none of that really matters now. I kinda missed tinkering on it, and I've decided today to do something about that.

Lots needs to be done on the site, but I'm very busy irl. Too busy to keep up. I've decided to print a set of armor made by a guy called Nico on YouTube. He prints in PETG and airbrushes, but I'm going to attempt ABS for vapor smoothing and graphite powder for a hopefully convincing metallic finish. His paint looks incredible, but I'm not invested in airbrushing and graphite is looking way cheaper. I dont currently have a setup for vapor smoothing, but I think supporting the parts is going to be the hardest part. I dont want large pieces like the chestplate or helmet to sag. It may take some experimenting, but it'll be worth it.

I have a vacation that needs planned, and a home that needs buying, but all of that will have to wait for like a year lol. Lots of personal movement going on lately, which is all good (a little stressful, but good). The first step is often the hardest, and I've made a lot of those lately.

So the title of this blog post is referencing a Taking Back Sunday song. I used to really like TBS, but I've listened to them so much that I skip a lot of their stuff when it come on in the car. Still a very formative band for me, just kind of didn't hold on to me for as long as I once imagined they would. It doesnt help that their lead singer is weird live. He sounds like a different person doing a Baptist preacher impression. It was so jarring that I left a music festival early so I wouldn't have to endure that again lol. Anyway, I still like the music and the song just so happened to pop into my brain when deciding on a name for the post.

The reason I wanted to touch this project again was because of the stupid hit counter. It broke forever ago when the host website went down and its bugged me ever since. Hopefully this one lasts a little longer, but it uses Javascript, so I might nuke it before it has the chance to go offline anyway. I was surprised to see that the site had over 1700 hits, though. Thankfully Neocities keeps track of that stuff internally.

Anyway, I've lots of plans for this site that never went away. I don't think monthly articles are going to stick, but who knows. Last year I challenged myself to read a book a month, and I had a lot of fun. Most of them were on philosophy, and I procrastinated a bunch. There were more than a few times that it got down to the wire on the last day of the month, but I was able to get them all read in the end.

Maybe the blog will be my thing this year, but I've already missed a month ㄟ( ▔, ▔ )ㄏ so maybe it'll be a bimonthly type deal. We'll see.

I'm currently playing Pokemon Crystal, which has been great. I've played the gen 4 remakes, but the original art and sounds give me so much nostalgia having grown up with gen 1. There are some Harry Potter RPGs on the Gameboy Color that I want to play this year, and I really need to start FF7 and Chronotrigger. Im debating on the Steam release or PS1 for FF7, though, and I still haven't decided. I'm heavily leaning toward the PS1, but the disc loading times are scaring me lol. I think it'll be fine. Final fantasy will likely be the next game I start. I still neet to make progress in the 3D Zelda games, too. Twilight Princess will for sure be this year. I've been working my way up since shortly after BotW came out, so obviously I'm working super hard on that lol.

Anyway, that's enough yapping. I'm not going to do a song recommendation this time, as I've already linked a song in this article, but I have plenty of music to share still. I enjoy Xisuma's music blog and would love to write about music like that someday. We'll see.

Thanks for stopping by, it means a lot.
